Mike Hodis of Rising Sun Jeans hosted a post Inspiration party Sunday with all the trimmings. Rising Sun hand crafts denim and work wear on antique sewing machines using traditional techniques and the highest quality materials. Mike's passion for quality is only rivaled by his knowledge and skill. Took the R100S out Santiago Canyon to try out the new throttle cables...they work, and had lunch at the Silverado Cafe . This place is pretty good. It reminds me of the cafes found in small towns far away from California. The waitress was real nice, the food was good, and lunch was less than $10 including coffee! I'm going to try breakfast next time. Cafe Racer Lunch Counter at Silverado Cafe I was honored to be allowed to drink from Rosemary's pretty cat mug. We got more Schott 141 Cafes and 689H Retro Horsehides. We're still waiting for Women's One Stars. The NHRA Winter Nationals were this week and I hung around the
Pantera motor spotted at Belmont Shores car show today. Thanks for humoring me. This is a test for the mobile blog thing. It finally worked! Since you're here...this car really had a gold plated drivetrain and lots of trim including custom made bumpers. Believe it or not it looked really cool in a strange way. Here you go Barbary Buzzard. Lori got better shot of engine compartment. and the bumpers.
Lucky Triumph Last week's Triumph troubles are turning out to be a pretty good thing...if you're the Triumph. Lori's been wanting to do something with it for awhile and said, "Since it needs a battery I might as well take the gas tank off and see about paint." So the battery's here, the tank and rear fender are off, she's shopping for a tail light assembly, and pondering some paint options. Here's a few pictures of her tearing it apart after we siphoned the gas out of it. Here's a few more with the color turned on. Agriculture Report The seedlings were transplanted into their new pots Saturday. Lori knocked the bottoms out of the eggshells and planted them with Marigolds to help repel insects. They're taking well to their new homes and look like they've grown in the last twenty four hours! More at www.townhomesteader.com Crazy Old Jeep This Jeep caught my eye while fueling up last wee
