Building plans Approved in Winslow!

Image
The picture below is the Architects drawing of the outside facades of the Motor Palace. It's a protected PDF and I don't have the skills to crop the white out of it to make it bigger. The building on the left is an 800sf carriage house. It's 17' across and the Motor Palace is 25'. The addition (brick pattern) at the rear of the Palace is the "mud room" where the cellar entrance is and the living quarters will be. 66 Motor Palace Megaplex Winslow. East wall of Mud Room  We got our plans approved and will get to start work on the building in February. Phase I we are building the living quarters in the rear so we have a place to stay while we do the main building. The East wall will be redone with a large glass block section on the right side and two 3'X3' glass block windows where the small meter is. That meter will go on the carriage house to keep the battery tenders happy. Two of the chimneys will be attached to our wood burning

"Going Nowhere"

Going Nowhere from Brian Law on Vimeo . Here are about 6 minutes of photos taken at our shop on Rodder's Row in Orange with music by Blue Sunshine Soul, a band we met while riding home from Denver a couple summers ago. We'd been on the road for about two weeks and weren't ready for the trip to end, so took extra time through our favorite sections of Route 66, from Flagstaff to Seligman, Kingman, and across the Mojave to Amboy. From there, it was a straight shot home, but we took a detour at Roy's to spend a night in Pioneertown. Pappy and Harriet's (next to the motel) is famous for great food and entertainment.. We'd settled in at our table and were enjoying the warm night when Blue Sunshine Soul began playing one incredible song after another providing the perfect soundtrack to wind down a perfect ride.  If you know anyone from the band or have contact info for them please let us know. We'd like to have them play at the Motor Palace when we g

We want a clean one like this for the Motor Palace cheap!!! Mini Enduros moving out to make room for Lori's project.  Red Bikes Nice mostly original 1935 V8. This one's probably going to Sweden. In New Cuyama, pretty good Tri-Tip. We thought we were getting this one but the guy quadrupled his price at the advice of friends.  Lori's next project-a 1969 Triumph TR25W. If you thought it was a BSA it's because it's mechanically the same as a B25. Black Bikes- we just picked up the 1995 Fatboy. It's probably the cleanest one I've seen since 1998. We'll post a few more pictures soon. It's a blast to ride. I just liked the way this looked.

Our first trip up the coast was a bust. This POS needed it's body replaced. All of it. We ran out of time and had to go home empty handed. This is a bonus shot of about the coolest shop in the world. It's in Cayucos. If you shot out the back fast enough, with a little ramp, you'd end up in the ocean. The Pomona Swap Meet was Sunday so we checked it out. There was lots of stuff there.  This one looked pretty cool and it came with the trailer. I guess we could load crap in the bed and pull it behind Bondorella. "Period Correct" modification. I guess even hobos had money in the '60s. Pomona This one would've been OK if the guy hadn't hired a drunk high school kid to build it. I went back to San Luis Obispo County again and tried a new Craigslist app. Craigslist in Bru Coffee House in Atascadero. Craigslist app malfunction or user error. Who cares? It's not a Stepside or Panel but I couldn'
