A Day in Nor-Cal via the Big Valley
Jim and I did a quick overnighter to Auburn to pick up the Yamaha Scrambler and do a little shopping at the Annual Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet.

Craigslist Score!
I planned on ordering a hub puller to remove the rear brake drums from the Jeep on Monday but a last minute search of Craigslist saved the day! A guy in Irvine was selling the one I wanted (Blackhawk/Proto Made in USA) brand new and I saved about $100! The guy and his twin brother race a Mustang and are unloading some of their duplicate stuff. Anyway after lots of pounding I found the place where of spiders died.
This tool or one like it is what you need to remove hubs from taper axles.
Like the rest of this Jeep. Dirty and stuck but not worn.

This place is pretty good. It reminds me of the cafes found in small towns far away from California. The waitress was real nice, the food was good, and lunch was less than $10 including coffee! Pantera motor spotted at Belmont Shores car show today. Thanks for humoring me. This is a test for the mobile blog thing. It finally worked! Since you're here...this car really had a gold plated drivetrain and lots of trim including custom made bumpers. Believe it or not it looked really cool in a strange way. Here you go Barbary Buzzard. Camp 66 Motor Palace!

The mirror we bought at the swap meet in Tustin fits! We'll hang it up after we paint. We finally got to sleep in the Motor Palace! The apartment's almost done so we decided to give it a try for the 18th Annual "Just Cruzin' Car Show." "Almost done" as in electricity, water, toilet, walls, heating and AC.
