Shop time with the YZ80 Finished stripping the YZ80 chassis and will split the cases tomorrow. So far other than the oil pump mess it seems solid. I'm going to go ahead and bore the cylinder and go one up on the piston. Drilling more screws out. More cleaning, it still needs a few more passes. G/S needs to go for a ride soon. Dream Jeep  We've made the final arrangements for the baby we're adopting and she should be here in a couple weeks. She's lived on a ranch in San Luis Obispo since 1988, and a ranch in Santa Ynez before that. Life's been easy with 17,000 original miles. She's powered by the "Dauntless" V6 which was originally used by Buick in passenger cars. It's all stock but the radio and the roll bar. We'll give her a bath and see what we got when she gets here! Jeep not meant to be... First the bad news. The Jeep isn't for sale. Now the good news. The Jeep isn't abandoned. The owner just rescued it and is fixing it up for his grandsons. I'll be keeping an eye out and hope to see it around town. Pomona Swap Meet Southern California has a lot to offer--the weather's great, and there are countless rides, shows, races,  and a hundred other things every weekend. But when it's all said and done, if I leave this place the things I'll miss the most are the  Pomona  and  Long Beach  Swap Meets. If you ever want to surprise me I love 66-67 Dodge Chargers. Lucky Triumph Last week's Triumph troubles are turning out to be a pretty good thing...if you're the Triumph. Lori's been wanting to do something with it for awhile and said, "Since it needs a battery I might as well take the gas tank off and see about paint." So the battery's here, the tank and rear fender are off, she's shopping for a tail light assembly, and pondering some paint options. Here's a few pictures of her tearing it apart after we siphoned the gas out of it. Here's a few more with the color turned on. Agriculture Report The seedlings were transplanted into their new pots Saturday. Lori knocked the bottoms out of the eggshells and planted them with Marigolds to help repel insects.
