Las Vegas New Mexico

Late start=gas stops only! As we were leaving Winslow this morning we met Wade. He rides a Victory and we've seen him around quite a bit but never met. He's real supportive of the project and we're looking forward to riding with him sometime. Cliff Bar and whole milk is what we have at fuel stops instead of lunch. It's why we gorge at dinner. Motorcycles and stuff in Las Vegas NM We just blasted down the 40, turned left at Albuquerque, and picked up the Santa Fe Trail to Las Vegas New Mexico. Weather was calm and we followed thunder storms across Western New Mexico, only catching a small one around near Cubero. The clouds were still heavy but stopped raining after just a few miles. As we approached the Laguna Pueblo it was glowing white on its hill in the only sunshine for miles. Things dried out and got a little warm before Albuquerque. The freeways there are the most beautiful and terrifying I can remember. The sky got dark again outside Santa Fe. We rode in mist and ...

Hanging around in Winslow

Lazy Travelers Last night was the first time we slept in the building except the time we slept on the floor and checked in to a motel early the next day. The time we learned about the cockroaches. This time we have cots, blankets, sink, toilet, air conditioning, and a bath tub. No clothes dryer...yet We slept in then drank coffee 'til noon when we started a quest for food. BoJo's won again. We shared a Patty Melt then walked around town visiting the neighbors and watching people stop to stand on a corner. The left panel with the "girl my lord in a flatbed Ford" is being touched up by the John Pugh (the artist who did the mural. People from Florida A hardcore older Cowboy and Cowgirl from Texas leaving the corner after standing. Australians standing and watching a red Corvette minutes after my old friend Doug Fletcher of Boy Scout Troop 120 in Texas offered the lyrics, "a girl you bet in a red Corvette" on a picture Lori posted on Face book. Captain Jacks Summer Party

Captain Jack's having another party in Denver and we're riding the Sportsters again. This year we'll be spending a little time in the Motor Palace instead of wondering if it really exists! The deal No computer, no iPad...just an iPhone and Leica X2. The blogs will be on the iPhone so pictures may be out of order and without captions. There might be more pictures of food too. Good Morning Still Life with Roach...this is what I'm doing now. How it Started First I overloaded the Sportster. I knew it looked stupid but gave it a try. We got to the gas station around the corner and knew it was a "fail." Once I removed the top bag and rigid bottom liner all was fine. I just won't have any room for souvenirs. The weather was perfect, even Needles was only 109, the rest of the desert was around 100 which really isn't bad when you're moving. We followed rain storms from Kingman to Seligman and didn't catch any 'til we were at Snow-Cap waiting for tac...

Riding to Denver Removing Web Store Store for a Couple Weeks.

Google Dropping Shopping Cart Google's killing their shopping cart and credit card processing service soon so we need a new service. Fortunately Square who makes the card reader we use in the store and outside events recently launched a shopping cart. We've played with it a little and so far so good...if we can get it embedded to our pages. Since we're going to be on the road for a couple weeks and can't ship product we'll remove the current store and launch the new one when we get back.  Our well worn Square Reader New Stuff when we get back! For those of you patiently waiting we just got a big shipment of regular, black, and smaller lighter weight tees from SOS. The plan is to get them to the printer before we leave. If so they'll be done before we get back. He moves a a lot faster than we do. Boxes of organic cotton shirts are heavy!!! Things in the Parking Lot This looks nice inside and out, think it's on it's way to Eur...
