Twenty-four hours in Winslow

Route 66 and I-40 to Winslow I made it to Ludlow in time for breakfast, fueled up and arrived in Winslow around by 1:30. The weather was perfect as I trailed thunderstorms across the Deserts and Plateaus, catching a smaller one outside Flagstaff. Tasty Ham Steak from the Ludlow Cafe Roy's was busy with a film crew so I bought some water and got out of the way. Meteor City Trading Post...Winslow's just ahead! Mud Room's almost done! Paint's on, tile's up except for grout, and the boxes of wood for the floor are delivered. The room's shaping up well and we're pretty excited about trying the place out! Lots of busy work We got the rear brakes apart, the drums turned, and lines made. The adjusters were frozen on the right side and one had to be removed with a chisel. We couldn't source them locally but they should arrive Tuesday. The wood arrived for the Motor Palace floor and we ordered the light fixtures and ceiling fan. The bathroom tiles were started last week and we think the "Hotel Room" will be done very soon.  It took awhile but it worked Found a cool Made in USA Mirro canteen while looking for 16 tooth porcelain sink faucet handles.  Bring a Trailer post led to this '70s Blaupunkt CB for the Jeep The Palace floors match Lori's hair.
